Why are some descriptions in Polish and some in English?

These are the same descriptions translated into two languages for the convenience of readers. The entire conference will be conducted in English. There is an obligation to present lectures and poster presentations in English. This is intended to teach young scientists how to present their research at international conferences, so please approach it calmly. Language proficiency will not be evaluated, and all attendees will be understanding, as this event is for learning how to present scientific work at such conferences.

Where will the conference take place?

With a few exceptions, the entire event will take place at the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy, and Applied Computer Science at JU. Inside the building, our volunteers will be waiting for you, who will show you the way to the auditorium where the presentations will take place. In addition, on the first day of the conference (11.05.2023), the first keynote lecture will take place at the JU Botanical Garden, after which a tour of the garden is planned. On some days, there will also be integration events, about which registered participants will receive email information about the location and time.

No, it can also have a review (summarizing the latest research results from the literature) or popular science character. It will be announced soon.

Additionally, these two presentations cannot contain the same information (although one can be a continuation of the other).

How many people can present one presentation?

A maximum of 3 people, but all must register separately with the same abstract and a note in the “Comments” field about the joint presentation, where the names of co-authors will be listed.

How many people can present one poster?

One poster can be presented by one person.

The participant is responsible for independently paying for the printing and bringing the poster to the poster session. The organizers will prepare special racks for posters.

Of course, it is not mandatory, but it will be frowned upon if someone is only at their own presentation.
